This project started with a Christmas ornament commemorating service with the 4th Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment stationed at Cooke Barracks in Goppingen, Germany back in the 1980s. I had a request for ornaments from other units so we put together designs for ten units which were assigned to Goppingen, Boblingen, New Ulm, and Schwabish Gmund.
